Hello! My name is Dr. Merlene Harris. I am the 8th Grade Interrelated  Math Teacher .
I have been a teacher for over thirty years at the elementary and middle school levels,
an elementary school principal, and a teacher of the Deaf /Hard of hearing. 
I hold a Certificate In Teaching the Deaf (Cert. Ed.) and  a Bachelors Degree in Education (BEd.)
from the University of the West Indies, a Masters Degree in Education (MEd.)
from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Education (PhD)
from Capella University.

Monday: Students will :
                                   1)Complete writing one or two paragraphs
                                    2) Complete  IXL Diagnostics
Tuesday: Students will: 1) Write 1-3 paragraphs using correct punctuation, capitalization and grammar
                                      2)Complete IXL Diagnostics
Thursday: Students will draw and label coordinate plane with x and y axis and plot points on coordinate planes.
Friday:      Students will plot points on graph to form figure.

Period 4/6:
Tuesday:  Students will: 
                                       1) Draw and label coordinate plane with x, y axis;origin and quadrants
                                       2) Complete Rotation problems
Friday:      Students will complete reflection problems

Period 5 /7:
Monday:
                  Students will: 1
 1) Draw and label coordinate plane with x, y axis;origin and quadrants
                                       2) Complete Rotation problems
 
Thursday: Students will complete reflection problems

Announcements

1..Students will follow their virtual classes as follows:

2..Mondays and Thursdays are the ODD number classes - Periods 1, 3, 5, 7 

3..Tuesdays and Fridays are EVEN number classes - Periods 1, 2, 4, 6

4..Wednesdays are reserved for meetings and conferences.

5..The first action for students every day is to go to the Verge platform and read the announcements for the day.
     - The announcement will direct them to class with a link or code.
